How much will hiring an attorney at Tabono Law cost?
Following your $150 consultation, we will determine a retainer amount based on the complexity of your case. This retainer, which serves as a down payment and is placed in a trust account, is required before we can begin work on your case. Please note that the total cost will vary depending on your specific circumstances, and all our attorneys and legal staff bill at hourly rates. It’s important to understand that your total fees will likely exceed the initial retainer.
What is a retainer?
In legal billing, a retainer is an advance payment made by a client to secure the services of a lawyer or law firm. This payment is held in a trust account and is drawn upon as the lawyer incurs fees and expenses related to the client’s case. Once the retainer is exhausted, the client may need to pay additional fees as the legal work continues. If any funds remain in the retainer after the legal services are completed, the balance is returned to the client.
What is the cost of a retainer at Tabono Law?
After your initial consultation with an attorney, the retainer amount will be determined based on the complexity of your case and can range from $5,000 to $15,000 or more.
